Michelle Orme – Evidence synthesis

Dr Michelle Orme has twenty years’ experience in health outcomes research and fifteen years industry experience of systematic reviews and meta-analysis. She specialises in data analysis including direct, indirect and mixed treatment comparisons, Bayesian network meta-analysis, simulated treatment comparisons, discrete choice event modelling and bivariate meta-analysis of diagnostic test accuracy. Michelle also provides critical appraisals of cost-effectiveness models and meta-analysis and strategic support. She has a PhD in mathematical modelling, an excellent track record in delivering complex projects, whilst maintaining customer satisfaction, and has over thirty publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Abby Paine – Evidence Synthesis

After being awarded a PhD in Applied Maths from the University of Bath, Abby has worked in Pharmaceutical consultancy for 20 years, initially as a health economist and then within the last 10 years as a statistician, specialising in meta-analysis, indirect comparison and network meta-analysis. Abby has experience in a diverse range of indications including oncology, immunology, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, mental health, and women’s health.

Becca Harvey – Evidence Synthesis

Becca has several years’ experience in health economic consultancy and has also worked within the NICE Evidence Review Group at ScHARR, University of Sheffield. Becca completed an MSc in Medical Statistics at Lancaster University and was awarded an NIHR Research Methods Fellowship, focusing on health-related research. Becca has a particular interest in methods of evidence synthesis, including Bayesian network meta-analysis, matching-adjusted indirect comparisons and the application of fractional polynomial models to survival data.

 

Katherine MacGilchrist – Evidence Generation

Katherine has over twenty years’ experience in pharmaceutical research. She spent eight years within the pharmaceutical industry in international clinical trials management and compliance. She also has over 10 years’ experience within academia, a not-for-profit organisation and HEOR consulting. Katherine has conducted & managed over 70 clinical, economic/cost and quality of life systematic reviews for HTA submissions. She has experience in oncology, CNS (schizophrenia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, dementia), ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, haemophilia and orphan products. Katherine has an MSc in Epidemiology and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology.
